How can a Caregiver Help?

Home Care Assistance provides compassionate caregivers for in home elder care services throughout San Diego. A live-in caregiver stays in the home 24 hours a day, and is available to assist morning, noon and night. If we provide live-in care for 7 days a week, we assign a primary caregiver and a back-up caregiver to the job. The primary caregiver provides care for 4-5 days a week, and the back-up caregiver takes over for the remainder of the week.

Your Caregiver resides on your premise only during assigned days

Our Live-In Caregivers maintain a separate, permanent residence. They are only allowed to reside in your premise on their assigned days and nights. Your Caregiver is prohibited from using your car, phone, or television for personal use. As a company policy, Home Care Assistance Caregivers are not allows to receive visitors while they are providing Live-In care.

You can hire a Caregiver on an hourly basis

We understand that not all seniors require live-in care. So we provide home care services on an hourly basis. You can hire a Caregiver only during the night, weekends, or just for transportation to doctor appointments. Home Care Assistance is totally flexible, and is happy to provide care whenever and wherever needed.

Our highly experienced and professional caregivers will assist you with the following:

  • Cooking and light housekeeping
  • Laundry and change of bed linens
  • Grocery shopping and errands
  • Companionship and range of motion exercise
  • Bathing, dressing and grooming assistance
  • Transportation to doctor appointments, supermarket, pharmacy
  • Assisting with walking and transfer from bed to wheelchair
  • Status reporting to family
  • Medication reminders
  • Hourly and live-in care available
