San Diego Home Care Assistance Caregivers are taught the art of good cooking at the Home Care Assistance Culinary Academy so that they can prepare nutritious meals for their senior companions.  They receive hands-on instruction in preparing recipes from our Balanced Care Method Workbook and our Recipes for Life cookbook, which includes recipes for clients with special needs (i.e. diabetic, low sodium, gluten-free diets.)

Our Caregivers are the best in San Diego County!

San Diego Home Care Assistance caregivers are highly experienced and rigorously screened.  We run thorough background checks on all of our caregivers, including local & national criminal records, DMV checks and social security verification. 

We even administer a psychological examination, developed by Ph.D. psychologists, to test each caregiver for honesty and conscientiousness.  All of our caregivers are bonded and insured and they are employees of Home Care Assistance, not independent contractors. 

Our Staffing Director is the “match maker” of Home Care Assistance.  She makes sure that we place the right caregiver with each client by carefully listening to and observing the needs of our clients and respecting their personality preferences.  All of our caregivers are taught mobility assistance and how to care for clients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other common afflictions of seniors.
